Aspect Ratio Calculator (ARC)

Use the form at left to calculate the missing value for a particular aspect ratio. This is useful, for example, when resizing photos or video.

Formula

Say you have a photo that is 1600 x 1200 pixels, but your blog only has space for a photo 400 pixels wide. To find the new height of your photo—while preserving the aspect ratio—you would need to do the following calculation:

end world hunger. and guess what? i did! (actually, I use this page constantly - usually for the obvious, but today, something unusual - i randomly changed tempos of music in Peak, guessing at BPM (if the song was 124,it sounded good at 144) - in Logic, to match that, when I found the song was really 102BPM, I could easily figure the new bpm) it's a shame you don't make money off this page - i doubt a week goes by i don't use i! yes, i'm bright and could do the math, but this is SO much easier.I bet i've used this page...500 times now, at least -thank you... — 2010-04-26 10:52:03
